Job Overview:

The Nomura Human Resources team provides support to a large, diverse and evolving client group.  As we continue to grow we are seeking candidates who can help deliver on HR’s goal of delivering superior service to the business.

 

Reporting to the Global Human Resources Management Information manager and the Global Human Resource Advisor for the Equities division, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting Equities business leaders and senior HR partners with HR reporting and data analysis.  The successful candidate will also play a role in supporting the year-end compensation planning process, along with supporting the HR MI manager with other project-related work.  The role will likely be based in Hong Kong.

 

This is an important role that will have exposure to Divisional management and global HR leadership and would suit a highly motivated, high potential individual with very strong analytical skills, good change and project management with a desire to work very closely with a front office business.

 

Responsibilities:

·          Develop and implement a global, divisional HR reporting dashboard

·          Support the Equities division with core headcount and run-rate reporting

·          Provide support on ad-hoc analytics requests from the business and HR , including development of HR presentation materials for business reviews and leadership off-sites.

·          Working with the CAO teams to develop division specific reporting

·          Develop solutions around the divisional organisational structure to improve efficiencies and depth of reporting

·          Key contributor to division’s year-end compensation planning, coordinating manager hierarchy data, supporting the communication process, coordination of repricing exercise

·          Develop employee survey analytics and presentation material

·          Champion and drive PeopleSoft data quality within the division; drive a data ownership mentality within the broader HR team.

·          Develop as a subject matter expert in HR systems and data; act as a point of contact for HR Advisors, responding to queries and resolving issues.

·          Participate in global HRIS/MIS/Compensation meetings and projects as required.

 

Requirements:

·          Bachelor degree in a quantitative field (business/finance, science/engineering/technology) with strong academic results

·          Minimum 8 years work experience in an analytical role, preferably within the Finance industry or HR.

·          Must have experience working with clients in a high pressure organisation

·          Exceptional technical skills (Excel, Access, PowerPoint); ability to learn new systems and tools quickly

·          PeopleSoft experience preferred but not essential; understanding of database fundamentals a plus

·          Excellent interpersonal and oral/written communication skills.

·          Effective at building relationships at all levels of the organization and able to accomplish objectives through influence and persuasion

·          Displays a ‘passion’ for data and effective data management along with a commitment to ongoing process enhancement and an innate desire to generate high quality work.

·          Proven ability to explain complex issues to non-technical users.

·          Must be a self-starter, flexible and willing to participate in a variety of projects.

·          Commitment to improve processes.

·          Confident under pressure, ability to manage and prioritize multiple, complex projects within given deadlines.

·          Candidate must demonstrate sound judgment and maturity, with an ability to use discretion to maintain confidentiality of highly sensitive data.
